Who is responsible for your data

VORTICEPACIFICO ENGENHARIA LDA, NIF PT518972895, Quinta do Feijó, Loja AK 48, 4905-511 Mujães, Viana do Castelo, Portugal, is the controller of personal data processed through pharmacydirectory.eu. Questions and requests about privacy can be sent to info@vorticepacifico.com.

What data we process

The website is designed to work without accounts or forms. When you visit a page, our hosting and content delivery provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data needed to deliver the page and keep it secure. This can include your IP address, the time of the request, the pages requested, your browser type and your device settings.

If you contact us by email, we process your name, email address and the content of your message in order to reply.

If you request the correction or removal of a pharmacy listing, we process the details you send us, such as your name, your role at the pharmacy and the listing concerned.

Why we process it and the legal basis

We process technical data for the legitimate interest of operating, securing and improving the website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We process email correspondence to respond to you, which is necessary to take steps at your request (Article 6(1)(b)). We may process data to comply with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)).

We do not use marketing cookies or advertising trackers at present. If we introduce them in the future, we will ask for your consent before setting them (Article 6(1)(a)), and we will update this policy.

Pharmacy listing data

The pharmacy information on this website is business information obtained from Google Places. It is not personal health data. Where a listing relates to an individual pharmacist or owner, we handle it under this policy and respond promptly to correction or removal requests.

Who receives your data

We share data only with service providers acting on our instructions, such as Cloudflare for hosting and security, and with the authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal information.

International transfers

Some providers are established outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, transfers rely on safeguards recognised by the GDPR, such as the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses, or on an adequacy decision.

How long we keep data

Technical server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operation, and are then deleted or anonymised. Email correspondence is kept for as long as necessary to handle your request and to meet any legal obligation. Correction and removal requests are kept for the time needed to resolve them and to keep a record of the outcome.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Portugal, that is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (https://www.cnpd.pt). Visitors in the United Kingdom may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (https://ico.org.uk); visitors in the Netherlands may contact the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

To exercise your rights, email info@vorticepacifico.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity before responding. We aim to respond within one month, as the GDPR requires.

Residents of the United States, Canada and Australia

We do not sell personal information. If you are a resident of California or another US state with privacy legislation, or of Canada or Australia, you may have additional rights to know, access, correct or delete your personal information. Contact us using the details above to exercise them.

Children

The website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has contacted us, please write to us so that we can delete the information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Last updated: 21 October 2026.
